The praise – introduction to Allah

Surah Al-Fatiha is the surah we Muslims around the world recite first in our prayers, it gives us an introduction to who our Lord is, it declares who and only who is fit to be the God, the attributes are clear and simple for someone who is looking for the true God the real One. It is none other than Allah, who has these qualities.

1. We learn who is our God by the attributes described in the first three ayaats.
2. We submit to Him by worshiping Him alone and asking Him alone.
3. First thing that we ask Him is the guidance to the straight path.
4. We learn what we get as a result of being guided to the straight path.

These ayaas (1:1-1:3) give us an introduction to who our Lord is. He is the Lord/Sustainer of the worlds, The Beneficent, The Merciful, The Sovereign of the day of recompense
